The IFEAA invites you to a FREE event at Knott Oak Dairy showcasing how anaerobic digestion (AD) can be used to reduce methane emissions on farm and convert waste into energy.

IFEAA, a not-for-profit organisation, is committed to reducing fugitive greenhouse gas emissions. Through its events, policy work, and research, IFEAA raises awareness of methane emissions and supports efforts to mitigate them. Recent peer-reviewed research reveals that methane emissions from manure are often underestimated, highlighting the urgent need for action. IFEAA is also coordinating the Net Zero Methane Hub in Cornwall to develop an ecosystem that promotes the capture and use of net-zero fugitive methane in the region.

During the day you can learn more about the Methane Hub project and the measures that Knott Oak Dairy have implemented to mitigate against the release of methane from their dairy herd. The numerous benefits of installing AD on farm alongside the challenges of running an AD plant will be discussed.

What to Expect:

  • Introduction to the Methane Hub Project: Gain an overview of IFEAA's efforts to tackle methane emissions.
  • Farm Tour: Take a tour of Knott Oak Dairies’ anaerobic digestion (AD) plant and learn about its operations with the host farmer.
  • Expert Insights: Engage with industry experts who will discuss how AD can enhance both the environmental and financial sustainability of businesses.
