Too much, too little, or too polluted – water issues are everyone’s problem.
Explore how water catchment management and sustainable farming practices can be part of the solution to enhance water quality at this event for farmers, policy makers, researchers and industry.
The event will include:
- Presentations from Jenny Phelps from FWAG, Aubrey Greene from Hereford Biogas and Kiran Tota-Maharaj from the RAU discussing industry-led projects where farming practices are enhancing water quality.
- A panel discussion delving into how farmers are implementing practical solutions to water management. This will include farmers Jonty Brunyee and Andy Rumming, Matthew Riddle (chair of the English Severn and Wye Regional Flood and Coastal Committee) and a representative from a water company.
- A site visit to see the GREAT Zerodig Project, which will be led by Jenny Phelps.
The event will be a fantastic opportunity to meet with farmers, researchers, policy makers, utility companies and NGOs focused on water quality and catchment management, providing a chance to exchange ideas and learn from others’ experiences.
This event is free to attend, with lunch provided. Registration is essential to ensure we can cater to the right numbers.
